im plannin on buying a 2000 integra gsr.. it has 40k miles.. the owner said that his son drove it and then his nephew drove it for awhile.. so i thought they might of dogg'd the car out...

how often do manual transmissions need to be replaced? avrg mileage when changed?

when they break.

My current tranny has 96k my old DA had about 150k when it died.

If they are not hammered on and the fluid id changed they can last a very long time.

 

they should never have to be replaced.

 

300-400k miles I would say if you take car of it. My 90 LS had 260k and no problems. No grinds nothing.

 

my old 96 gsr integra had 180k and was still good with no problems.
