How often should..
there's a post on here somewhere... guys @ 40k and getting it done.. I"m at 100k and getting it done... i think it has to be done every so often... if you hear your valves, it's definatly time!
The manual says to do it every 30k. I suggest learning how to do it yourself and then you can check them as often as you'd like!
At 30k, I adjusted about half of my valves on the intake and exhaust side. I redline often and auto-x the car, so its seen its share of the rev limiter.
HTH.

valve adjustment tool comes in handy and speeds up the work, but you can still perform a valve adjustment without if your low on funds. it is a good investment though for only around $40-$50 if i remember correctly
Since I am bored at work, here is the link to the c-speedracing site:

When was the last time you got them adjusted?
If you hear a "tapping" in your engine after or before advancing/retarding cam sprokets you would need to get them adjusted. Also, the more often you drive in VTEC, the more likely you'll need to get them adjusted sooner than what your owner's manual suggests.

alot of the audible ticking is also related to your injectors opening and closing. I adjust mine every 5-8000 miles but I also race quite often
The manual says inspect at 30k miles.
I took my car to the dealer (Hopkins Acura). They asked me if I hear tapping noise, I said "NO". He listened to my car and then told me to go away. Well, not go away but to come back when I hear tapping noise or reach 60k miles. From what the guy said, yeah, they can look at my valves and "inspect" its clearances (after they let it sit for a few hours until it cools) but he won't be adjusting anything and will take my $135. These guys are good.
