Default How much to paint and prep????

I am hoping to have my mechanicals worked out next week, and then I can start thinking about the serious money of painting this POS. I know I am going to need new seals around both doors and the trunk and new fitting around the windows, especially the piece that goes around the front window. There is a marginal amount of surface rust, but I dont think anything should need cut out. I know I am going to replace the hood with a CF hood, and I am going to bring in a new front bumper cover.

So if I bring in the new hood and front bumper cover, but have the shop do the seals and around the window, prep the entire car, paint the car Double Yellow (the new VW Beetle color, bright as hell), leaving the engine bay black, and debadging everything........How much???

What do you bodyshop gurus out there think? Would it be cheaper to keep the car black instead of changing the color?

Thanks for the help!

i think it would be around $1,000 to $1,500 for this job. you should know that the more you want done to vehicle costs more money. suggestions i have to you would be check out local shops and get a pricing and their repretations before you decide. also make note of their paint warranties and products their using. and lastly make sure you have everything that is going to be done to your vehicle in hard written copy.

I'd say $1000-$3500 depending where you bring it. Keeping the same color can reduce costs in prepping jams considerably.
