While I was wrapping my harness with harness tape the wire on the coolant temp sensor ripped apart. I can understand why my car is almost 30 years old so something are bound to break and be replaced. Does anyone know the part number or where I can buy a new one. I was trying to knot the copper wire together but it’s to short on the
sensor end. I’m going to go to a junkyard tomorrow and see if I can find one that I can re use but I would appreciate if anyone can send a link where I can buy a new one.
Re: How to fix/replace coolant temp sensor on integra
Cut off a replacement plug from a car in the junkyard... then crimp and heat shrink it to your existing wiring... and then re-tape/loom it as you attempted before.

I just replaced mine with this! fits perfect and is a nice pig tail! even has a clear sleave to protect the metal prong. They sell a nice TPS/Map pig tail as well which I have also! shown off to the right with colored wires. My Map sensor harness was acting up because i extended it years ago, it would make the engine stall if the vibrations moved the harness, I got the pig tail on and fixed my issue.

This was the only sensor I could find at the junkyard it came from a 95 integra which is the same year as mine. Will this work?
The wire is still connected I was tugging on it a bit to make sure it wasn’t loose. Also some of the protective black rubber is ripped compared to mine, does that matter?
Re: How to fix/replace coolant temp sensor on integra
Your replacement looks pretty rough... but it will work if you are really gentle installing it. I would suggest that you keep your eye out for a "nicer" replacement and swap it out when you find one.
