How do I do this??
I have a 2000 Integra GS-R, and I wanted to know how to take out the Back seats. No one sits back there, and its collecting dust. Why not just take them out and make my car alot lighter?
Can someone please post up how to take out the backseats of an Integra??

alot lighter?? Maybe 2lbs!
There are 2 "clips" next to the bottom sides of the backrest. They are near the sides of the car pull those out...slide the seat to the side and lift up and out.
Remove 1 10mm bolt from bottom portion and tug upwards from middle area.

Really? Is it worth taking out? or am I just wasting my time and effort?
How come people are takin out their backseats when they go to the tracks and run the 1/4 if its not significant? Does anyone know how much they weigh?

I think they do more than just take out seats...
they probably take out everything that's not neccessary...like A/C, door panels, ABS..may be, seats, brackets, spare tire
May be I'm wrong. hehe

If anyone can prove a .1 second improvement in the 1/4 mile by taking out just their back seats...I'll eat the back seats from my R....
A backseat is quite light.... just some foam and a wire skeleton w/mounts.... if the 2dr has fold down seats... the folding mechanism is somewhat weighty coupled with the seatbacks themselves.
The people you see at the track are being somewhat extreme in attempting weight reduction.... Like a friend of mine that takes out the: Stereo, subs, amps, spare, tools, jack, passenger seat, back seats, and sometimes the rear quarters (interior) on his 'stock' (what he tells people
) hatch Si... His car's not that fast and every little piece of weight counts when you want to beat your best time... or a Teg for better illustration...

then damn... Screw takin it out. I'll juss leave 'em there then. It does look ugly without the two back seats anyways... Thanks for all your opinions.
