e85 has higher octane - tames knock and let's you run more aggressive timing. Probably cools a bit more going in too..

works very well on boost, on my evo just from switching over to e85 i go from 24psi to 36psi and pick up about 100whp..now all motor dont expect those kind of gains but you will still see some and it makes it a bit more reliable since every things not as hot

hmmm. yea but i think to fully benefit from this system you'd need to be converted fully with an engine dedicated only to ethanol. you could utilize insane comp ratios. not sure how well the aluminum head would take to say a 20:1 ratio though.

i like your system on the evo though. dual maps, adjustable wastegate. pretty slick.
36 psi eh? what's the CR on that motor?

nope not adjustable wastegate, electronic boost controller, does everything i need, i change MAP the EBC adjust and off you go, and its just 9.0:1 and none of my friends engines are dedicated to ethanol and we have a guy putting over 800WHP and he does it on a very small budget, E85 lets you run much higher boost safely..

yea, but if dedicated, you could run higher CR and boost. but then i think you'd need to start worrying about things besides detonation. like lifting the head off the block.
maybe a v6 with cast heads.

thats why almost all of us over 24lbs of boost run ARP headstuds with NEW oem headgaskets, my one friend just dynoed his car, hes crazy tho with a 6262 on it making over 500whp and stock head studs but we all are pretty sure he floated the head a bit when on the dyno

yea but even with studs, i'd worry about maybe distorting the threads in the block.
i dunno though. not much can be done about that i guess

really does run cooler. ive been looking into it some more this morning im ready to convert just have to start ordering parts. and yes mileage does go down quite a bit. but the dual map on the s300 should take care of it, just need a base tune for it to all work!!!!!
