I was told that my car needs atleast 410 cca (cold cranking amps) but as I mod my car more the autozone rep said I would need a battery that provides more.
So which brand should I go with? and what is a decent price for a new battery.
I believe she offered me a duralast with 500~ cca for 60$.. but I just jumped my car and decided to come home and do some research first.

Not sure why that would be, unless you increase the CR, which I can't imagine an Autozone rep. anticipating. Even then, I don't think you would necessarily need a higher-capacity battery.

What attributes are you specifically looking for in the battery? Do you simply want a stock replacement, or do you want something more specialized (e.g. light-weight, sealed, inexpensive, etc.)? The emphasis you place on different attributes will obviously determine which battery will best suit you. A "decent price" varies greatly depending on the particular battery.

Just go to Wally Mart and look it up with the machine there. It'll cost you like $35. There's no magic to a Die Hard battery. It's lead and acid for god's sake. Optima batteries recirculate the gasses back through the liquid. Optimas can explode just like any other battery though.
I purchased a gel cell battery for $25 with 1000 CCA from a battery dealer. It was for a computer UPS that got changed out. They put round terminals on it. It's not for my Teggie though.

I picked this battery because the Optima was not going to fit and I did not want to relocate to my trunk. I also had it left over from my old Civic so that was a plus

For 1/3 the price you can get a hawker genesis battery thats the same weight. Its not "tizzite jdm y0" but if you want a 13lb battery thats your best bet.

fyi, the generic one at Sears = the same batteries at Walmart & Costco... I found it to be cheapest at Costco.
