hmmm questionable header problem?
my engine maitenence came on about a week ago and ive been meaning to get it taken it to be checked otu, and just about yesterday whenever i turn the car on, its not nearly as loud as it used to be. i asked a few of my friends and they said it my be something with the headers, maybe not screwed down tight enough. i was just wondering if anyone could help with analyzing the problem or helping with a solution. thanks!
The engine maintenance light does not mean there is anything wrong with their car - it just means that you have reached the end of the service interval - as long as you are up to date on maintenance, you can reset it by holding down the blue button below your dash to the right of your steering wheel (right by your right knee) while turning the key to the on position.
Also, I don't think your header would be quieter if you didn't tighten it properly. If anything you would probably hear more noise from vibrating, and you might feel air escaping.
