Default High RPMs

@ 70mph, my car is at 3500 rpm's... When riding in my friend's ls, same year ('94), his is around 2750... Does anyone know how I could correct this problem? i've read that cleaning the iacv would help if the idling fluctuates, but will this do me any good?

I am going to assume you have the exact same cars.

A cause for the difference between the two could be a factor of tire size differences or differences in tire wear. Also speedometer discrepancies could also hamper the comparison.

Take a tire off each car and measure the diameter and do some math before you go nuts trying to diagnose a problem that may not exist.

Cheers,
Roy

If you have a GSR, your rpm/speed ratio is correct on 15" wheels.

LS's have longer gear ratios -- that's why his rpm's are lower at the same speed.
