im thinking about buying a high flow cat for my tegi, but before i do, i wanna know whats the advantage to having one, does it make a difference and if so, what is it?? thx for the help

they wouldnt sell them if it didnt.. also please search, as a trial member, im sure you did your job and read the integra forum guidelines.. not that hard to search bro. click the search button, up on the top right, then type in "high flow cat/s" and you'll pull up a ish load, then change it from recient to archived and you'll find even more

not tryin to be a jackass but these noobs need to learn how to fallow rules and read the guidelines FIRST like its stated.

and dont give me that "well it says dont tell n00bs to search as you can easily answer the question for them and give less hassle..."

if they can search to find ****, they can search to find info on a H/F cat.. simple

yes highflow cat give you better flow...1 or 2hp...you need bigger piping with bigger outlet of header + muffler to get full potential.....highflow along...forget it...

it will fail smog anyway..with highflow...they claim that smog passeable but **** them...if you believe them then buy it

 

also could save money and make your own test pipe....get some pipe and a couple flanges and have someone weld them together....just the route i am going....

it will sound crackies and nasty and gaspy if you only have test pipe ...however if power is wat youre looking for then test is nice

i have both test pipe and cat...take it out put in anytime i want...

 

whats the emissions like where you live? and did you already have your car tested yet?

cuz it will cause you not to pass on a test pipe for sure, and on some high-flow cats..

test pipe will make you pretty loud if your not already, and if you are, it will just add to it.

to other people: are there CARB legal high-flow cats that will ensure that you pass?
