isn't cali all strict about emissions? i have the jackson racing high flow cat & am happy with it.. test pipes really aren't for naturally aspirated engines. if you plan to go turbo soon, i'd say get the test pipe though.

Hmm...CA IZ strict on their emission level. I'm going to have to get my car pass smog pretty soon. I hope I can pass with AEM CAI/Skunk2 Intake manifold. I have on my cat but since it was making a rattling noise, i went to get a high flow cat. I don't know about now.....??

you will pass your emissions if you put the stock cat.....back on after using the high flow cat right? I'm not gona turbo my car so a high flow cat would be good for stock engine isn't it, does it help alot though?

you should pass your emission with skunk2 IM and AEM CAI with no problems. I passed mine with the skunk IM, header, and greddy exhuast last time.

I just put an ebay testpipe on my car. It was about 3" short so I had to weld in another section of exhaust, but it works. I just unplugged the 2nd O2 sensor and it threw a CEL, but it still runs better than with the stock cat.

Went to that Kteller.com site, just wondering what size do i get for my catback. Since Carsound seems to be a popular thing to get and it seems to be getting good reviews I guess i'll get myself one.

I have a carsound cat and i love it. I had a test pipe for about 3 days but i took it off because the exhaust stank really bad and it sounded like crap.

Just my few cents, but replacement cats are not legal in cali, if you actually want to stay in smog compliance. But most places won't bother to check, so you'll probably be fine.
