no we had to mill the rods to get they type r pistons to fit, and the r high rise pistons, the clearance level I guess is to high for a b16 head, so I have to go with a b18c head

A gsr head will give u higher compression than a b16 or type r head. What type r pistons are in it ctr or itrs? Also u might wanna check out your tps for the bogging

Well I think 40 is low to start with, I ran 50 on the friends car when I worked on it. What about the injectors, the stock ones are usually maxed out fairly quick for lsv.

A GSR head would net you about .5 points more compression than a B16/ITR head. Even Jesus knows that.

I'm running ITR pistons in my lsv setup with the same block and a B16A2 head. Have had no clearance issues. We also had to have our shave some off on my rods or pistons too for fitment on to the stock ls rods. Can't remember, it was over 7 years ago

I don't think hes looking into the high comp question anymore, What is the car tune with if its even tuned.... using a stock ecu with this setup would most likely give you that kind of issue to btw.
