so i bought this kit off ebay right kaixen kit. and everything is new except for the bulbs which seemed to be used and the wire inside is cut..
so i sent it back to the seller and he sent it to kaixen for review, and they said that it is in working condition??? i was like what the hell no matter what i did it would not light up.
So my question is if the wire inside the bulb is cut would it work or not? cause i know if the wire is cut inside its not going to work right.. but this guy tells me that its not the wire that makes the bulb light up but the powder inside. is this true???
i'll post pics up later...
can you see the wire cut inside? it's not going to work if its cut like that right?

haha man you need to do some research on how HID works. There are no cut wires there. The voltage passing between the wires creates an arc, which excites the salts inside that little bubble, which creates the light.
Connect both bulbs to both ballasts. Switch them back and forth to determine if there is a bad bulb or a bad ballast.
But I can tell you know, that ebay kit crap is pure junk anyway. You never know what exactly you're going to get, not to mention that HID inside the stock halogen projectors is total crap.
HID projector retrofit is the only way to go.
And I only recommend Philips/Hella or Osram ballasts and Philips or Osram 4100-4300K HID bulbs.

man you should have waited till you had the money, because most likely you can't use any of that stuff with a retrofit.
I got somewhat lucky in that my old HID kit retained the OEM D2S bulb connectors on the ballasts, so I was able to re-use my ballasts with my new OEM HID bulbs and HID projectors. But I did still waste alot of money by essentially doing it twice (first HID kit then HID retrofit).
