Default HID

ive bought a used set of HIDs that came off of a prelude wwhich is also 9006..but they arnt that bright on my car..is it because on integra they have a projector lense which you have to get the d2s bulb or is it just that i need to aim up my headlights?

i have the same kit, it really isnt that bright to me also. i think its that it is made to look like its almost stock. my 9005 conversion with silverstars was brighter than it! the only thing you can really do is to just get a little brigter bulbs i would say maybe towards 5k.

The reason they are not bright is becuase the projectors on your car are for halogen lights, when you replace your halogen bulbs with hid's they are not going to be bright. You should get some projectors off of a TL or something and retrofit.

Hope this helps.

yea thats the reason. there is alot of light soming from them, just not visable light i have a friend with 8000k on his teg and they are pretty bright and i will have 6000k soon... the 5000-5500k is about as white as you can get and the most visable light

brighter than an 06' beemer?...i doubt that, i have a kaixen 6k and it's really bright...it really depends on the brand...you got a OEM kit, most oem's swap them for an after market..

he didn't pick up an oem kit..
if it was an oem kit it woudlnt' be sized 9006.
he probably got a 4th gen lude.
because if it was oem, it'd be D2R or D2S bulbs..
but anyways. ricer bulbs being brighter than hids, i think not...

you might have a higher K. probably upwards of 7K because 5-6k is where you are goign to get the most pure light.

Are the bulbs 9006 D2S or D2R? D2S type bulbs are made for a projector housing. I had a Philips 9006 D2S kit on my DC4 and it was pretty bright.

well there is ur problem! 12k HID's only look good!...they dont help you see anything because they are too bright!..which kinda sucks cuz you would expect to see more since its higher voltage i have 6k on my DC2 and i can see pretty well, i recomend anywhere from 3k-6k is good....anything else is just not worth the money...unless u dont like driving at night
