HELP!! wont start!!
Ok i have a 97 Turbo GS-R i recently converted to obd1 harness for my 93 civic. Well before i swapped the harness the car would sit and crank every once in awhile it would studder like it wanted to start, but wouldn't. If it did start it would maybe get two crank revolutions before dying, even with someone personally turing the throttle body. Well i swapped harness thinking obd2 pin out was different so i swapped in hope she would start. Well now im back to the same EXACT spot. I've checked everything fuses, relays, fuel pump(which you do hear it prime), I even took my fuel rail off with my injectors still on to make sure the injectors where spraying( which they are). Ive got a brand new distributor with the obd2 to obd1 jumper harness and same for the altanator. Ive got spark all the way to the new irdium spark plugs. I hooked my computer up to hondata its showing no codes accept Barometirc something, but I bypassed it. I dont understand whats wrong. Can anyone help????? Also gas is fairly new i got shell 93.
Is it an OBD1 or 2 computer?
And the Baro pressure is the MAP sensor and a sensor inside the ECU.
I THINK, not 100% sure. the baro has a kind of base map inside the ECU to tell the car how much fuel/air it needs up untill so many RPMS, then it reads it from the crank, map sensor.

Well, you need a Map sensor.
From what I know, alot of people use a GM 3 bar map sensor i think it is. I'm not for sure tho. Just google "Map Sensor for turbo GSR" or "What Map sensor to use with a turbo GSR" use key words and just search and read till you find something.

but if i bypass it through hondata its should start right? cause i mean if it was something as important as you say they wouldnt let you right? but if you go to the sensor option on the drop down in perimeters its like the third or fourth one that you can say use or not.
Your map sensor reads how much pressure (air) is being sucked, or pushed into the intake so it knows the correct fuel/air ratio it need to put out to make the car run right. If it can't read it... how would it know the correct mixture to run?
