<<<<<<<<HELP REMOVING OXYGEN SENSOR>>>>>>>>
I just recently Installed My Oem Jdm Header. When removing exhaust I couldn't Disconnect the Second o2 sensor, so i did the stupid thing and just broke it from the rubber part. Is this all that bad? I am going to local muffler shop tomorrow to install a full exhaust. My problem is that neither o2 sensor is hooked up because i cannot remove either from the cat. How the hell do you remove those o2 sensors.
My car is a 1997 Acura Integra Gsr. Only mods are Intake and header.

If you can't remove a O2 sensor, rethink if you really wanna tune your car.
There is a tool you can get from Honda that will help. ALso, there is a tool called a O2 Sensor socket which has a slot on the side to slide over the sensor and let the wire hang so you can get it on it. Napa may not have the size you want, so check your 02 sensor socket size first via Helms manual, or callin a dealer and asking.

I was looking at the o2 sensor the other day. Looks as if a a spark plug socket could be used on it. I didn't check this, but will be checking it tomorrow to see if it fits since I will be seafoaming the car and want to remove the o2. Even if I need to cut the wires, they can always be resoldered if anything. But this is a suggestion to because it may be easier for some to just use a spark plug socket (if it fits) and perhaps a breaker bar.

Probably a little bit, just around the base, but don't over do it. I would think that instead of using liquid wrench, you could use something like Deep Creep, which is labeled 'safe for o2 sensors' because it is used to clean the TB. I use Deep Creep instead of WD40 or PB blaster sometimes, and it works really well. Also, in CA, you shouldn't have the same problems with siezing due to rust, etc that many other people have. My o2 sensor in my 92 came off like butter the first time I did an install (in 04!). Of course, I used a breaker bar with a dope *** o2 sensor socket.
For Invalid, no, you can't use the spark plug socket, the o2 is 22mm, while the sparkplug sockets are much smaller.
I swear by my o2 sensor socket, I like the offset one, I will look for a pic, but I got it at Pepboys. It's black and has a big space for the wires and the 3/8th inch wrench adapter is off to the side, not on top.

Just about every other blt i have taken out has been jusst fine, but i was a little worried about the O2 because of the heat.
And I was asking to try and help other also.

Ok i ended up braking off the second o2 sensor, got nailed 200 dollars to replace with non oem unit
. My car is Obd2 and i will be running a test pipe cause i can no longer afford a High flow cat at the moment. Will the O2 simulator work with my car? and eliminate the code?
