well.... i`ll start by telling you that i have an all motor ls/vtec in my hatch.

the problem is that it doesn`t seem to do good low idle.. (1000 rpms)
1- when i start the car cold, with the idle adjuster screw closed at all... it does the 1000-1200.. (regular) but when it warms up the idle goes down and the engine shuts off.

2- when i adjust the screw for idle correction i have to adjust it almost to 2000 rpms cold so when th engine warms up, it doesn`t shut off, but when i rev it and take my foot off the gas pedal the idle goes down almost to 500rpms for a while and then goes up to 1200 and stills until i rev it again... and so. but the problem is 2000 rpms, to a cold engine is not good...

so this problem is driving me nuts.

btw. i`m running no thermostat, and direct radiator fan if this has something to do... i don`t know what to think about this... and yeah i eliminated all the water hoses that go to the intake manifold, heater etc....

so any help please. i will apreciate it.

im not sure if your car has cold start standard but in my old crx and many other cars your automobile is SUPPOSED TO idle at 2000 rpms to warm up... its not bad for a cold engine... then it naturally warms up and idles down to astandard 1k rpm... the only problem i see is that you are adjusting your idle when its in the warm up stage to 1000 rpm so once the car has actually warmed up the computer tells your fuel managment to drop RPM speeds which in turn dropps to an RPM level the engine cannot continue to run at.... I suggest letting the car idle at 2000 until it warms up...or in this case adjusting your idle to 2000 in cold weather and letting warm up and drop speeds to what you would like it to idle at... regardless in cold situations the car should start at around 1900-2300 rpms.... it only did good to any car i've owned...
