help please!!
sorry if u recgonize this as ur engine bay cuz this is the only pix i could find that might help me
well the thingy i circle. im not sure what it does and what its call. i dont have it in my car. when one of my friend look in it today he say i need it. he say those are for it to send liquid so it make my brake disk kinda wet so it wont be to dry. he say it could crack my brake disk if i dont have it n stuff. i was wondering if thats true?? cuz im not sure. if it is then i'll try to find one n put it in. when my friend tell me that i also realize that my brake sometime squeak when its brand new. also once in awhile i smell my brake burn n see smoke coming out of it. thanks if you could help me

Your friend is an idiot!!
If you dont have that, it means you dont have ABS (anti lock breaking system)
As far as your brakes squeaking, are they brand new??? Did you bed them in correct? Did you lube the back side of the pad and shims?
When do the brakes smoke?? All the time, or jsut have hard breaking? You might have a seized caliper and it is dragging a pad

1. that is your abs motor. not all tegs came with abs. probably you have an RS model or the abs was removed before.
2. what your friend is telling you is TOTAL BULLSHIT. if you don't have ABS you will just have normal service brakes. ABS activates on panic stops. it operates the brakes multiple times so the brakes won't lock up. ABS- Anti-Lock Brakes
3. i have not yet seen a cracked rotor but it is possible. if the rotor is EXTREMELY hot and cools immediately, as if you threw cold water on it then it's a possibility. the rotor will probably warp before that happens
4. clean the sliding areas on the caliper bracket with a wire brush. after that lube the sliding areas with a brake lube. some shitty quality brake pads will squeak no matter what you do to them
5. if your rotors are smoking then possibly you are too hard on the brakes or the caliper is locking up.

oo thanks cuz yea i have a RS maybe thats why it dont have it. but yea smoke come out only on hard brake. mostly when im smashin then i start braking hard. sometime its fine. the break doesnt squeak all the time. most likely it squeaks when im going slow but doesnt happend sometime also. thanks everyone
