help me plz.
i just went to a performance car place and asked about their engines and stuff...
he told me he could get me a integra type r motor vtec for my integra ls 1989...
he told me $5000 Australian dollers for the engine, wiring harness put the motor in and the ecu..
would that be worth it..
aslo i could either get the type R motor or to b16 vtec..
what would you suggest for my car?

I don't know what the Australian-American dollar is but for American 5k isnt bad for the whole swap and install. And I would go with ITR not b16. But that's just me.
Thats pretty cheap if they are getting you the swap and putting it in for you. You also might look into ls vtec, putting a b16 or type r head on your ls block.
well i was thinking about doing that, buying the parts slowely and doing it myself..
but, that would mean taking my engine out with no tools and doing it with no expirience and having my car off the road for too long..
so i thought $5000 is very good for this..
the guy told me he could put a 10 pound turbo on the b18a1 block that i have and i wont need to do anything else.. and that it would be faster then the vtec.. but i would most likely wanna put a turbo on the vtec later on in life.. so if i just got vtec nowe for $5000..
and did turbo later on it would be better lol..

well someone already answerd my question which was that the integra type R engine is better.. it sounds like a good deal, $5000 me not doing a thing.. i could handle that anyways lol..
then later on just put a turbo on it.

yea i work at an exchange bank and if you dont get the money at your personal bank and have to get it somewhere else, they always add a percentage so actually expect about 4300....
the engine i would be buying would be around the corner from my house, no exchange rate, i just showed you the american dollers, because none of you guys are australian..
