Most of what you are looking at in there is vital to the function of the car. Some of the ugliest bits are related to the ABS, cooling, and engine management systems, which are necessary and not easy to move. You can clear a bit of room by getting rid of the AC and power steering systems, but those aren't without tradeoffs.
If you want to keep all your systems working, you'll have to live with all that stuff. However, aftermarket hoses and wires are better looking and may be easier to relocate. There are also ways to tuck (hide) wires to make for a cleaner look. Other than that, you'll just have to give the engine bay a good cleaning. There are also things that can be painted to improve the appearance of the engine bay. There are online resources for tucking engine bays, if it's something you're interested in doing.
