Default Help..lower control arm..

The lower control arm fork bolt snapped in half on my ls. Was dropping the car when that **** happened. Front is done just the rear. Any body got ideas or is this a shop job? Hopefully it can drive a short distance.

The damper fork that connects to the LCA? or the LCA to the subframe?

Either way I would not drive it. Just get the bolt out and replace it.

i just went throiugh this, and if i were you and i would take it to a shop

read this and check out the pics:

http://team-integra.net/sections/loc...PagePosition=1

and then there is this one too just to give you an idea of how much a pin in th \e *** it is to do whatyou are asking:

http://team-integra.net/sections/loc...PagePosition=1

after all was said and done i had to take my car to the shop and hope to god that the lower control arms didn't fall off while the car was on the flatbed. i did have a floor jhack under the rear tow hook though so i wasn't oo worried.

On mine, all we did was bust the wielded nut on the shock tower off, and the we grinded the top of the bolt off so that you can pound it through with a punch and a hammer. I did have new SPC lower control ams but mine are ok, they do need new bushings tho....your gonna need to get new ones anyhow. If you need more help PM me

don't waste your time just take it to a shop and get a new bushing cause they will have to burn it out

Hey got the other side out. Thats's three down and one to go. I just used a whole can of Lube. Now to try the other side using the same method I used. If it doesn't work then I'll go to the shop. Is it bad if the bushing spins but is still inside the lca? I mean it's just there to hold it in place right? So if it spins but doesn't wobble then it should be fine right?

Yeehhaaaww. Got it fixed. Had to get lca and strut from junkyard. It's working now. Only took 12 hrs. Not bad for working it myself with no extra pair a hands. Neuspeed race wasn't as low as I thought. Or is it still gonna settle?

yea, dont' feel bad man. i was working on putting in my coilovers, and we decided to do the back first. and the lower damper bolt snapped on us and took about 2 hours to work it all out. luckily my friend had a bolt that fit, and we replaced it but took up all our time, so now the coilovers are still sitting on the floor. but i went and bought another bolt from acura for like 10 bucks, just in case the right side decides to snap on us the next time we take a stab at it. it happens though
