I was driving my integra [90-93] when the car started to bog going up a hill. So i gave it alittle gas and the car just died...the car has gas and it wont start yet its been like 1 day i took out ecu for a couple mins and see if it will start again and no luck.. So if anyone can give me info about what they think is wrong with my car please do!!!! thank you,

Whenever a car doesn't start you have to diagnose the problem by steps.
Ask yourself these questions:
1. Does the car turn over/crank? (Does the flywheel turn?)
2. Does the starter work?
3. Are you getting a spark?
4. Are you getting fuel?
5. Is the car throwing a CEL light? If so, what code?
Find out these, and then we can better give you an answer. The answer could be as simple as a dead battery, or as complicated as a siezed engine.

ok the car does turn over...rotor spins..starter works[if a way to check the starter let me know i will try it] there is gas in there but iam not sure if iam getting it?? the battery works...cause the alram still works to open the doors and radio comes on good! the ecu was throwing codes yesterday when it happen. but i did not write them down! but when i checked today the ecu was throwing no codes at all!
if anything else i need to let me know i will try any advice anyone gives!

Okay, so the car turns over. That means the starter and battery are working fine.
Check to see if you have spark. Might need a buddy to help you out with this one. Pull out one of the spark plug wires from the cylinder. Hold the end near something metal (like one inch away) and have someone crank the car. Do you see a spark jump from the end of the wire to the metal surface? If so, you have spark, if not, then you don't have spark. And we can diagnose further.
You sure the ECU isn't throwing codes anymore? They most likely wouldn't just go away for no reason unless you reset the ECU. Even if you did reset the ECU, some of the more "serious" codes still stay.
Stupid question. Before this happened, did you do anything to your car? Did you try to modify anything? Unscrew wires, etc? Maybe you might have removed a ground wire or something. Remember, look at the stupid simple answers first before looking into something complicated.
EDIT: When you turn the car to the ACC position (right before you crank it), do you hear your fuel pump prime?

ok the spark test i will do in a few....but the fuel pump prime i would not know what sound it would make??? and iam gonig to try the ecu again yea the car was modify b4 but we put back integra motor! and tried to see if some wire came loose or something but i could not find anything yet...

once you turn the key, you'll hear from underneath your backseat a "whining" kindof a "pump" noise.

Turn the key to ACC and you'll hear a high pitched whining noise. It'll stop after about 2 seconds when the pump is fully primed.

So there is a spark with the spark plug wires..and the ecu so throw no codes and i unpluged it before i came on the forums...Well it blinks 1 quick 1 right when i turn the key b4 crank but that is it!
hey its bboy88 my 5 post was all i could do with last name in 24 hours lol...so i tried to listen for fuel pump and did not hear anything! then again i could just be listening to hard and not hearing it at all lol! but lets say i don't hear it....i mean will loosing fuel with make the car bog and die out? and if so y would the fuel pump go out? other then its a bad fuel pump lol! another thing is anyone know where to get the manual for the integra 90-93 off the net!
K dude....if you dont hear the pump you might be in luck.
its 1 of 2 things:
- Pump is dead
- Main relay died on you
Remove the back seat. You'll see a round metal cover in the middle of where the seat was. Check the voltage to it when you 1st turn the key to run....it should be 12 V for about 3 seconds right after you turn the key. This is the voltage to prime the fuel pump. If you dont have any voltage, odds are your main relay is beeing gay.
You can try the following if you have a spare battery or you are good with electronics. Find the polarity of the voltage to the pump and power it from an external source such as the lighter socket or another 12 V battery. See if the car starts...
If you have 12V but the pump doesnt come on when you turn the key, the pump is dead

Check ECU codes, O2 sensor gave me a problem like that when I had my oldbody teg. Remember these are older cars so sensors do start to go and they will shut the car down. Good luck.
well the car is my friends and he has a volt meter iam not sure what it is hooked up too? Well when i turn the key to second click b4 crank volt meter dont move or even when i crank the car meter dont move. But when i turn on the lights the volt meter moves to 11 with parking light and to 10 with headlights so iam thinking its hooked up to the battery..But i have not tried to remove the back seat yet.
Well where is it plugged in...I mean, those numbers are useless unless they you know where they care comming from.
You dont need to crank the car over to check the pump, just check the reading when you turn the key to "run"...should be 12 for about 3 seconds ..then 0
