Default HELP! ignition problems!

Okay so about 3 days ago my 1991 Integra LS automatic (B18A1) would not start. replaced cap/rotor/ignition coil and it fired right up. idle sounds great, but there is still a remaining problem. tachometer sweeps erattically during acceleration and is inaccurate, misfire/spark knock very apparent, tried setting timing and resetting ECU, kept the car running instead of occasionally just dying for no apparent reason, but a power loss and sputtering was still very apparent. removed dis, cranked engine to TDC, re-mounted distributor, started right up but no help with the sputtering/ping/knock either. doesn't seem to just die anymore but performance is terrible regardless of timing setting. my current guess is either igniter or ???????

PLEASE HELP! i can provide any info that may be needed for possible diagnosis, but i cannot afford to take this car to a shop, and it is my daily driver.

Fixed! problem was a loose wire on the igniter chip. if anyone has a similar problem be sure to check those wires first!
