I was at a junk yard today looking for a h22 for my lude and i came up on a 92 teg with a b18a1 whats the specs here????I've not been around the b series that much, but i've seen the b18c's so whats the difference. Any help would be great.

 

b18a1 came out of the gen 2 integra's, 140 crank horse, 125 ft lbs torque, non vtec

the difference between those motors are 1. obviously vtec, 2. b18c1 and c5 came from a debatebly better made b18b found in 94 up integras

i have a 92 ls with a b18a1, its quick but not nearly as quick as i would like... good for ls turbo tho

howwever, if u have a lude then you're set up to have an H series motor, putting a b-series in would be costly and for a b18a1 its just simply not worth it...

Thanks for the info... I'm not puttin it in my lude, sorry it sounded that way. I just saw that motor and was wondering about it. I hadn't seen that code before. Thanks for answering my question though.
