Default Help: Distributor problem

my ignition coil fryed so i got an MSD but the car still wont start.....i swapped in my friends entire distributor and the car started right up.....should i try a new ignition module(169.00 from autozone!!) or should i just get a whole new distributor.....how much would a new distributor run?...if it is the ignition module can i just get an MSD 6A ignition or does it utilize the factory ignition module.......some one please help....i need to get my car rolling again

There are many things that could be wrong with your stock ignition, Coil, igniter, etc. Have someone check them out. Also with the MSD Coil did you use the resistor? If not you may have made problems worse
