Help with Dashboard Control Panel Lights
Okay guys/girls, even with having an OEM service manual, I still can't figure out how to fix this problem. I hate electrical problems so I need a little help.

Problem: The lights inside the control panel (mode switches) and the AC/heater does not light up when the light switch is turned on.
Here is what I know.....I know the bulbs aren't dead because sometimes they would come on when I hit a bump on the road. Then when I turn off the ignition, the lights would die again. I thought maybe the harness in the back must be loose. So I tore out my dashboard last night only to find that everything was still well intact. Okay now, it must be the other end of the harness that is loose. I got underneath the steering column, pulled out all the harness connections that is next to the fuse box, plugged it back tightly, but still no lights.
Has anyone had this problem and was able to fix it? I don't think it's a fuse because according to the manual and the discription on the fuse box lid, there is no fuse for the dashboard lights. Please let me know. I thank you in advance.

I have this problem, all my lights work except for my cluster. Everytime I make a hard left, the cluster comes back on for a sec. I'm guessing wiring issue. Probably gotta tear it out and check the connections

The problem is solved folks. And of course, it's always the last place you check.
Anyway, like I'd stated above, the HEATER CONTROL PANEL lights do not come on when I turn on the light switch. The LED lights do though. Sometimes when I hit a bump on the on road, all the lights would magically work. Strange? Must be an electrical problem.............NOPE.
After two days of tearing out the dashboard and checking all the harness connections for power, the problem was the FRICKIN' BULBS!!!
All the bulbs were burnt out. The two bulbs that lights up the air flow directions, the one bulb lights up the fan **** and hot/cold ****, and the two small bulbs inside the A/C **** were all burnt.I'm not an electrician so I'm having a hard time understanding why if the problem was the bulbs all along, how come they light up together and die together? Could it be that they were all running on the same circuit board? You would think that if they were all burnt, they wouldn't work anymore, right? They've been flickering in and out ever since I bought the car earlier this month.
Here's another question.......if the burnt lights can somehow come back to life, how come the same heater control panel in my '91 GS has one side lit and one side dead? The left side of the panel hasn't lit up for over a year now, but the right side is working as it should. Anyone with common sense would come to a conclude that most likely the bulb on the left side is burnt out.
Again, problem solved. It was the bulbs. Check your bulbs boys and girls.
