Help, Check engine light !

Checked the ECU,

P0420 Catalyst System Efficiency Below Threshold

Minekee said it costs $500... what u guys think? bad gas milage now.. is this something dangerous?

u need eaither a new cat or a new secondary o2 sensor. Do you have a stock cat in the car now? This happened to me when I put in a high flow cat so I put a stock one back in and no more problems. Just ask around on here somone will have a stock cat they can sell you.
