I got a code 74 i was driving home and my car started running like a v8 with a big cam so when ig ot home checked it for codes got a code 74 random misfire what could cause this and how do i fix it? btw the cel is always flashing when the car is running.... could it be the plugs i put in like 4 days ago?

hmm im haveing same problem with code 73. random misfire in cyl 3. and my cel blinks to. are u runnung a turbo or anything. waht plugs are u using

Maybe you could tell us car, year, motor, etc

 

its probably the plugs. are u running any forced induction? do any recent work to your car besides the plugs?

I have the same code 74. Ive changed plugs from pfrg6-11 to pfr6g-13. Changed wires, changed distributor cap and rotor button. Still getting 74. Started screwing with the iac valve; I think I didnt adjust it right. Haynes manual says to connect a tach somewhere in the engine bay?, unplug the harness to the sensor on top of the throttle body and unplug the evap purge solenoid harness. I did all that adjusted the screw next to it but I may have done it wrong. Someone have any other ideas????
