I have a 01 gsr and I have noticed that my brake light in the dash stays on when I first start up and will stay on, periodically going off sometimes when i apply the brake. After about 20 mins the light seems to go off all together.

So my questions is has this happened to anyone else and is that a warning light?

are my brakes bad?

check the brake fluid level.

 

if your brake fulid level is good then check to see if the light goes off if you remove and reattach your brake fluid reservoir cap. If it does the you need a new cap for your reservoir, the sensor in the cap is bad.
