Default HELP B20/vtec vs LS/vtec

Guys, after doing some research i got really confused. im like totally lost dont know what to do now. My plan was to build B20z with GSR(p72) head and GSR tranny. But did some research and found out that b18b block is better due to rev limits or some **** like that. Im fairly new to honda game and i dont know that much. i know fairly enough but still wanna ask u guys with experience. What should i do now just get the GSR head and slap that on b18b1 block or still get the b20z block? BTW its going into DC4. Please be specific. Thank you!

if you want a torque motor, then go with the b20.. EVERYONE alllllways worries about revs.. its not always about RPMs, bro.... people need to learn that..

if you already have the b28b block, then do it on that, since it will save you cash for other parts/machining..

B20vtecs are monsters.. i believe the reason they dont rev too high safely is the rod-to-stroke ratio... But either way.. who cares if your not reving to 1000,00000 RPM, when your hitting low 14's? lol

but the b18 will give you lots of potential as well..

really. it all depends on what you are using it for.. Street? strip? street/strip? full race? autoX?

Best bang for your bucks is B20V.

LS Vtec is too much money spent already.

Just make sure you build your bottom end if you want to rev pass 7.5k. Hint hint. B18A/B and B20's have their redline at 6.8k for a reason

But if you wanna go FI go with the B18A/B's no doubt about that since they do have bigger bore sizes.

There's a "How to build a reliable LSvtec / B20Vtec" if you need any help.

wrong.. b20 has the bigger bore....

and for him, since he already has a b18b, then spending MORE money on a b20 block would actually take money away that could be used for pistons, cams, tune, etc on the lsvtec
