Help with alarm
I just wanted to start with saying there was no problem yesterday until around the afternoon today. I was driving home I heard a clicking sound from my alarm. When I got home and I armed my car (it usually beeps pretty loud) and the sound when armed was extremely faint. I then disarmed it and the sound was still very faint. I armed one more time and the sound sounded very weak like it was out of power kind of. Has anyone had this kind of problem with their alarms. It's a viper alarm, I don't know what kind it is or how old it is because it came with the car when I got it. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks in advance.
Check a ground for the alarm...
When I was finishing the install on my turbo, the ground wire for my actual alarm brain wasnt grounded, my alarm went off, but it was realyl quiet and faint.
I dont know if this is your problem, but its worth a shot.
Also, theres an alarm/electronic forum if you wanna post there you may get more help since more than just integra owners post there... there are alarm installers that are on that ofrum all teh time.
Hope that helps.

This happened to me when my battery was low. Changed the battery and never happened since. Also... Happened to me when I left my head lights on because it drained the batter.
Could it be my battery? 2 days my sisters car died and I thought it was the battery so I jumped it a few times, but the fault ending up being the alternator. Could jumping my sisters car those few times have drained my battery causing this or is it one of the grounds?

My brother's ITR did this. It was a battery issue.
ALSO If your door or sunroof isn't closed all the way or something is in a latch (seatbelt) it will do this, because the alarm tries to lock and arm but the arming mechanism won't initialize on some alarms unless all the doors lock but if a door isn't closed all the way and the lock doesn't grab right the sensor thinks the door is still open and it gives off that faint chirp.
ALL of those were an issue with my brother's type r.

your siren might be going bad, if its a ground issue you will hear a very faint sound like the alarm is going off. best thing to do is disconnect the siren and put the terminals on the battery, black to ground and red to power, then youll find out.
