HELP! ABS/ Steering problem
Well i have a problem,
i have a dc4 2 door auto LS.
The problem is that when i turn it on it makes a weird noise coming from the ABS system and gives me the ABS light in the cluster. it stays on for about 5 sec. then stops and my ABS light goes off. WTF?
also my steering seems to be getting harder everyday, the fluid level on the power steering is good, is there a way to blled the system?
if any of you can help me out i would really appreciate it thanx, MIKE

ok here is how you fix that.. take out the fuses and dont use abs.. those abs units go out all the time. you abs light will be on buit it will stop untill you get another one or take the bulb out..

will it affect the braking performance on it? i dont really care if it does or doesnt just wondering..
any clue on my steering prob?
ABS is useless. It pulses the brakes so they don't lock up. Statistically, this hasn't helped crash safety at all.
If you live in a snowy climate, slower brake pumping is more efficient anyway.
It does sound like your steering fluid quality is taking a 'turn' for the worst (wow), or you've got some build-up. I'd recommend getting your it flushed by a shop; it can be a messy, super annoying job.
