i am going to do the abs delete in my integra. i was wandering if anyone has done it and what parts i might need. and how the hell to do it.

What is wrong with deleting your ABS?

 

stop slower, 9 out of 10 times hurts lap times, really reduces stopping power in the rain.

those are a few. i know the integra doesn't have a first rate abs system like corvette, porsche or any of the more modern setups but still. it's quite functional

the only use i could see for getting rid of it is either a drag car or an autocross car that has pedal pulse problems due to 3 wheeling

 

I would rather keep my ABS. I don't know how many times it has saved my life. Maybe twice or so...

 

I don't want to argue over personal preference. And im sure you might have a valid point about lap times and such. So your saying cars with ABS have better lap times then Non-ABS cars? I drive a Integra and my ABS doesn't even work half the time! I don't track my car but I know how to drive it with or without ABS and I perfer Non-ABS...

 

the general reasoning is that you can come into a corner hot and not worry about lock up when you're running really aggressive pads.

in the rain lock up again is what abs prevents. you will stop shorter with abs than you ever hoped to skidding

pre 2000 hondas are oddly one of the only makes that have abs removal as being faddish, i don't get it

 

who cares about functionality when you can make your engine bay hella jdm clean, y0?

LOL....I drive my car in the winter in MN, and tell you what, after a rain, and temps drop below zero, You just look at your brakes, and they lock up. ABS saves the day.

 

my abs went out and i luckily found an rs at the junk yard. 50 bux for the whole setup. bay lucks a lot cleaner now.

 

To each his own I say. I prefer no abs, yes it looks a lot cleaner and I know how to drive. And I would be stoked to find a whole rs swap over for $50!

Anyone have an article on powersteering delete or where to get a non power steering rack for a decent price?

 

Even if your driving skills were that of a Michael Shumacher....ABS wouldn't hurt

 

if your trying to stop on ice.. i dont care if you have 8 wheels on your car all with snow tires and abs with the best pads you can get, your not stopping anytime fast.
