Help.....
I was wondering what you guys thought was a fair price (for both buyer and seller) of a 99 Teg GS with 38,000 miles on it. It is in good shape (no accidents), completely stock, sedan, manual, and still under factory warranty...... I have already checked Edmunds, KBB, and NADA and know what they have to say, but I want to know what it is worth in the "experts" opinion..... also, I live in the midwest, so I don't think the TEG market is as hot as it is on the east and west coasts, but again, I don't know for sure....thanks....
First why are you coming on to H-T and asking us a question about sale you teg? Are you looking to get another one or another Honda product so you can utilize this forum or are you just going to ask this one question and never back?
As for your question about selling the car, the experts here don't have say on the selling price on your car, the consumer who is going to buy your car does and if he is smart he'll go to http://www.nada.com plug in the specs you just gave us and go from there. Basically if you are looking to sell your GS at a higher price than what nada.com says, don't count on it, unless the market there for those types of cars is hot or rare.
This is what you are looking at:
(*)Total Average Retail: $15,125

To answer your first question, the name of the site is Honda-Tech.com (honda and acura technical resource) and I posted my question under the Integra heading (a discussion of Tegs), so I am confused at to why you are wondering why I asked a question about selling my Teggy, as it was in a completely appropriate location. To address your second question, I currently have another Acura product (CL) and would like to get a 2nd generation Teg to play with at some point in time, but now I need to get rid of my GS to make room for a truck for my wife.
Anyways, I don't mean to come off flaming here, I just thought that many of the readers/posters here are more in tune with the current market conditions and appetite for Tegs than I am. That is why I asked the "experts". Anyone with a computer and a half a brain can simply plug in the specs and have a value spit back at them, but that value doesn't mean *h#t if the demand isn't there....that is all I was looking for.....are ppl looking for this car or not. There is always a buyer somewhere, it is just a matter of getting the buyer to be attracted by your price. I don't want to give this car away, but want to get rid of it nonethe less.
I was thinking about asking $14,000, but would be happy with anything over $13,000.
By the way, it looks like you have a pretty tight ride yourself, keep up the good work!

well I live in California where the damand for tegs is pretty crazy.. so I don't think the value here would reflect the value where you are since we're in different geographic locations, and the market and demand/supply is probably different..
I think yor best bet is to go to the store and buy a PhotoBuys/AutoTrader magazine and see what other people list their cars for.. since the photobuys would be for your area it would reflect what others are ASKING for...
I would say to check the online resources but you already did.... so yeah..
