HELP!!!!!!
The worst thing happened today... My friend was helping me put on my new Type-R valve cover and we managed to break two of the valve cover bolts.
The 2 that broke were in the center on opposite ends. Anyone know how to fix this???? HELP?????

is it one solid stud that goes threw the cam retainer up to the valve cover??? DO you know how much they cost??? Should I fix this myself or have the dealership. If I do it myself, what should I torque the stud to???????
It's easy to do, and not anything you should have a mechanic do. Just take the valve cover off and look at it. You'll understand the procedure right away. As far as the bolts go, I believe that they are somewhere between 6 and 8 dollars.

No need to panic. Plenty of people here have broken the studs in half before.
Here's the long part number for the long stud (the short ones are on the outer perimeter of the valve cover).

Each stud is only $4.33 (from my Honda dealership). They might have to special order it.
I forgot the torque rating, but I'll post it once I get a chance to look through the Service manual.

It'll cost you aobut $20 for parts and labor if you go to a mechanic. I broke one on my civic 3 years ago, and I thought I was in deep Sh*t...The guy just laughed at me and said it'll be $10 and he fixed it. Go to a mecahnic you'll probably just break it again...LOL
