Something is really wrong with my car. It happened b4 and went away, but now it's back again. When ever I'm stopped at a red light or waiting for something my engine get really hot the temp. gauge goes up to like 3/4 way and sometimes almost maxed. I just changed my oil for like 300 miles ago and it has never happened until now. Whenever i accellerate again it goes down i little. What's wrong?? to much oil, broken thermostat, radiator?

Any help would be appriciated

 

Check your coolant (when the car is cold of course). If that's not it, check out the thermostat and the radiator fans, because they should kick on to keep the temp under control. Good luck.
