Default headlights

I'm looking into getting new and improved headlights (just the bulbs actually) for better vision. Searching around the internet I found Sylvania Cool Blue light, any1 used these and care to share their experince. Also saw something about xenon headlights, apparently you have to replace the whole system...??? Can any1 tell me more about these xenon headlights (philips website suck on this)!!??

Or maybe any other recommendations?

I'm just interested in a cheap upgrade.....

okay --
if you want really good visibility and look great - go for the true hid (phillips, vision etc)...thats what i am doing, my hid is coming thurs

you can always do sylvania 9005--->9006 conversion which gives okay brightness i hear

of if you want to look cool buy some xenon bulbs (they are like 40$ a pair), however, you get decent looks in exchange for bad visibility and bad reliability (they burn out quickly)

its your choice, but i would save and do hid

bulbs dont do shxt except possibly decrease your vision. get the true HID if you want better vision at night.

Whatever you do, stay away from those blue ricer bulbs. They don't do shi* but hurt your nighttime vision. I suggest you get some Sylvania Cool Blues in 9005 and modify them to fit in the 9006 socket. Cool Blues are good halogen bulbs, and hella cheap too.

I agree if you are really looking to upgrade your headlights shop around for a set of HID's, they are by far one the best modifications I have done to my car .

At the moment I think I changed my mind about upgrading to HID.

I'm just going to look for some better bulbs. I have seen some recomandations for a modified 9005 to fit 9006. Have any1 done this? Did it melt any cables etc.?

Have any1 one used any of these bulbs?

Upgrade Part Number = 9006ST
"High Performance Halogen - Whitest, Brightest, Sharpest"

Upgrade Part Number = 9006CB
Cool Blue Halogen - White Hot; Super Cool; 100% Street Legal

Upgrade Part Number = 9006XV
Halogen XtraVision - Up to 20% brighter than standard

Upgrade Part Number = 9006LL
Halogen Plus Long Life - Lasts 1 1/2 times longer than standard

Also I don't care about looks, if I did, I'd dish out the money for HID's. I have better places to spend my money. ON PERFORMANCE PARTS!!

What about the xenon bulbs? (assuming they are bulbs and fit into my socket)

much appreciated for input.....

Get some 9005 Cool Blues and modify them to fit your low-beam sockets. It is an extremely easy modification to do, and the results are pretty good in my opinion. The 9005's put out nearly 70% more light than the 9006's, so you will notice a difference in brightness and output. Here is the website to show you how to do the conversion, and I will try to get some pics up later tonight of the stock 9006's compared to the Cool Blue 9005's.

Good Luck with whatever you choose to do,

Oh and by the way, don't worry at all about the wattage of the bulbs. The same gauge and wattage spec. wires are run to both the high and low-beams on the integra. The 9005's are only like around 10W more than their 9006 counterparts, so don't think you're going to fry anything by using these 9005's. If you are paranoid like that you can always check on them every week or so, to see if they are doing any damage, but I highly doubt that they will do anything out of the ordinary to your sockets or housing.

Before I did the HID conversion, I tried the Sylvania cool blues. They are actually more of a pure white, and I liked them. I then tried the PIAA superwhites. To be honest, I really didn't notice a huge difference. Then I got HID. For all the time and money I wasted, I would've been better off getting the HID all along.

Get the sylvania or whatever kind of ricer bulb (I've got the Hyper's, paid $19.95 total for 9005 & 9006 on eBay) you like best and then get some PIAA driving lights... they light the road great. Much cheaper than HID's too.
