Default Headlight Questions

Sorry if this is the wrong place to POST This, But i've gotta question about our Headlights. 94-01 integra

#1. are our headlights, Projector Headlights or Not? (it has the Housing for it right?)

- okay, if it is Projectors, why is it when you put HID's in em, they don't look like projectors?

- if they aren't projectors Why does it have the housing (Stupid question) i know. but just curious.

#2. if its not True Projector, is it possible to do a TL retro-fit or something to get the full effect of the projectors?

Once again, sorry if this is not the right place to POST, But don't bann me yet. I looked in the lighting section and they really wasn't talking about SHYT!!! except the truth about HID's

ok thanks for the Help... But maybe i didn't state it clear enough. I didn't ask if it was true HID's, i asked if they were True Projectors...

"okay, if it is Projectors, why is it when you put ...........HID's.......... in them, they don't look like True projectors or anything like a TL's or any other Projector light like other vehicles.?" (it seems like the light is scattered)

dude u are asking why your headlights which are not HIDS dont look like HIDS just by putting in knock off HID bulbs. Your projectors are made to project the light of a regular bulbs not a hid bulbs. So it will never look like true HIDS cuz you dont have HIDS unless you do a retro fit. To be even clearer the projectors in a tl are for hids yours r not and integra projectors look pretty much like any other cars that have projectors that are not HIDS. Also due to the fact your projectors are not made to accept bulbs that put out that much light you are just going to be blinding every one that passes you. So stick with regular bulbs unless you do a retro fit.

Thanks Dawg... Preciate it... yea i kinda knew it was the lens but i didn't know it was different types of lenses specific for that purpose... Thanks because i was getting ready to put a good pair of 55W 6000k HID's in that housing and yea i didn't wanna be Blinding fokes on the road... but once i do the TL or TSX Retro-fit it should be Fine with the Aftermarket HID's Right???

DC5toDC2, I think you're doing this the right way by going with the retrofit. Aftermarket HIDs are fine, but they vary vastly in quality. I bought a set from eBay and they only lasted a few months. I changed out a ballast, and that new ballast went out in about a week. So make sure you read those reviews and get a good quality set. A lot of people sell shitty HIDs!
