headlight bulb types whats the difference?
I dont know what all the h's mean but that might be intensity.
the 900X usually stands for what application the bulb is for i.e. high beam low beam, and the biggest difference with those that I know if is what voltage they can handle.

Um, all bulbs on a car are 12 volt (unless the vehicle is so old as to be a 6V system). Different bulbs are rated for different wattages, but thats a current draw rating, and has nothing to do with what "they can handle", but rather what they will draw from the system.

The ones that won't do much good are the other ones that won't fit.</TD></TR></TABLE>
This is correct.

Sorry I meant wattage not volt. But if you look at high beams they have a higher draw. Sorry it was early and I posted and I just got back to illinois from california my brain isnt functioning that well.
The BIGGEST difference between all those bulbs you listed is the basic shape of the bulb itself. A 9004 bulb's socket is a worlds difference in shape from say a 9005 or 9006.
