I have a DA and about a year and a half ago at around 275K miles, I hydro-locked the engine and had to replace a bent rod and worn bearing. I was on the cheap and pulled the head and oil pan and replaced the rod and bearing, but reused the old *** 275K mile head gasket and oil pan gasket. Both have been fine and I have almost 292K miles now.

I don't advise using old headgaskets, I was on the cheap and would have redone it with a new OEM headgasket if it had leaked or not sealed properly. Guess I got lucky for once.

They're fine gaskets...it won't be a problem unless you do something really stupid like 15 lbs of boost or reuse an original gasket.

head gaskets like to go bad on abused b series engines. as long as you are careful and never let your car heat up badly because of a radiator or leak in a hose you should be ok for a long while. but they usually last around 100k miles. i would get it changed whenever you change the timming belt. just so your engine last longer. always make sure the head is torqued down correctly or oil will leak.

Good to hear, now all I have to worry about is getting the rounded bolt off my caliper bracket.

Drove her yesterday, and is a lot of fun to drive. Its peppier off the line than my SR-V, and I love the shifter! Midrange to high end the Prelude blows it away though. Its very go-kart like, w/ the Eibachs.

WRONG!!!... Do not change the headgasket... Only change the headgasket if it fails.

So, its twitchy and unpredictable? Or do you just mean that its much more stable with the springs?

Its very stable w/ the springs. I did notice the PS is way over-assisted compared to the Lude. Maybe its because I have the AEM pulley on the Lude.

Do you have a camber kit? Did you get an alignment? Too much neg. camber can make it seem like the PS is too powerful...
