Default header question

I have a quick question and I could not find the exact answer I was looking for. A lot dancing around the answer and some pics that I couldn't really use.
My friend has a gsr, and I have an LS, he is offering me his headers, for a great price. Will they fit my LS and also what type of exhaust gasket should I use if I can use his headers

yell at me if you want I don't care, I just need a quick yes or no

Yes, it will fit the engine, but I'm not sure if it will fit up to the cat.

The GSR has a longer(?) header than the LS, I think... don't quote me on that, sorry this is so vague...

Bump for someone who's smarter than me!

no that's great. I heard somewhere that it wouldn't fit up to the cat because of length, I was planning on getting a gsr cat, or aftermarket gsr cat for it. You answered my question

now does anyone know which exhaust manifold gasket I should use? LS or GSR?

What are the years of each car and are they both 3-door hatchbacks or 4-door?

Take a looky here... Integra Header comparison

as long as the chassis is the same, this will show you the header length. 94-99 GSR manifolds are NOT interchangeable with another chassis except another 94-99 GSR.

so pretty much what you're saying, is if it is a 4dr, that it won't work because of the length of the exhaust for a 4dr. I have a 2dr, he has a 4dr. I just read that entire post and the only thing that it talks about is the difference in the exhausts being longer. If that is the case and I do custom pipping will it really matter if the header is from a 4dr or 2dr?

if you are doing custom piping then it'll be fine. Whoever makes your exhaust piping will put the hangers in the correct places.
