Wassup people, I need your help with this one. I have on my car now Dc Sports Stainless Steel headers on my GSR and I want to take them off. Now I’m trying to decide which ones to get. Which one would
You guys go with. And I’m trying to go with ceramic this time instead of stainless steel. Any help would be great.
1) Dc Sports 4-2-1 1 piece
2) Dc Sports 4-2-1 2 piece
3) Dc Sports 4-1
4) Dc Sports 4-1 JDM style.

Hey, some of us H-T members are doing a header test on Dec 15. We will dyno the following headers:
w/ 2.5" collecor:
Mugen
Spoon
Toda
HiTech
SMS
DC JDM
Honda JDM
J's Racing
If the results would benefit you, I'd like to ask for your help, as we are still only halfway in terms of $$ needed to rent the dyno. Any contribution, no matter the amount, is appreciated! Please refer to the link in my signature.
THanks,
Ed

Cant go wrong with the JDM 4-1...and why go ceramic? Stainless is the way to go. This also depends on your setup....unless youve got cash out the ears, the JDM 4-1 is the best bet IMO.
The ceramic will rust out on you after a while.... Im personally going with the JDM 4-1 header in a couple weeks. Dont need no dyno to tell me that it will make more power then my old header

I got stainless on now and I hate the color they turn after the abuse they go through, plus I hear that CC hold the heat better then SS. So you guys think my best bet would be to go with JDM one's.
Sure they hold heat better, but does it make a difference? Not at all.
Not only that, but if youre referring to the purple color...just make sure you douse the header in cleaner after you fire it up the first time and youll get that nice gold color.

Hi Guys,
Well my SMS Products header arrived yesterday and it is absolutely beautiful. I don't think this coating is going to fall off very soon. Very solid feeling and the welds are really well done!
It should also clear the engine/transmission brace without any problems. Its going on with a 2.5" exhaust with a Magnaflow muffler/22" resonator and THE Carsound Cat.
I'll let everyone know how it goes. Pictures will be posted!
BTW, Dave has been great to work with and did a custom mod for me and welded in an EGT fitting.
Also putting a SMSP Carsound cat on a GSR soon. Remind me to pick up some Bufferin later for the back aches, I'm getting too old for this stuff.<LOL>
Take care,
John
