Head Swap
Hi guys just picked up a 95 RS a couple of weeks ago and was having a misfire issue with cylinder 3 only got it narrowed down to a valve problem. So I figured ill pick up a new head off facebook marketplace once I got back home I notice that the valve covers were different and led me to do a little more inspecting. I this point I realized that my head was a PR4-1 and the head from facebook was a P75-4 so my question is can i use the p75 head and will it be plug and play or will I have some modding to do.
The PR4 head is the head stamp for the 94-95 B18B1 motors while the P75 is the stamp for the 96-01s. The heads themselves are identical. The only difference being the things bolted onto them. So just swap over all of the stuff from your PR4 head onto the P75 like the distributor, valve cover, intake manifold, etc. You've probably already noticed the new head has a breather valve on the valve cover that your original doesn't have which is why you should swap the valve cover and use your original.
