Head question?
a lot of people do that. a fully built head is really just cams and springs to support those cams w/ some porting... it isn't that crazy. i mean, it can get crazy but not as crazy as "fully built" sounds.
be careful on cam selection...

thats not a full built head
its only a half *** job......
full built head
cams
valve train
port and polish
valve angle job
port matching
heat coating treatment
yes your block will handle the upgrades....
and what they mean by cam selection is that you dont want your
valve dropping low enough to meet your piston.....

what i mean by cam selection is try not to overcam the motor. too much lift and duration (things like toda c's, and other similar cams) are just too much for a stock bottom to see decent gains until you get some more compression and get it rev'n higher.
a built head in basics comes down to cam's and porting. the rest of the stuff doesn't see as significant gains (while they are important)
i just dont like the term "fully built." too many people use it to describe the wrong situation. "my big wheel is fully built, with NOS!" think about a chevy compared w/ a honda. i know chevy's been around a while, but the LT1 and LS1 hasn't been around as long as the b-series, and they have all kinds of cool stuff. LT1's and LS1's have different ratio rocker setups, hardend lifters/pushrods, aftermarket cast heads.... when a honda has stuff like that (hopefully soon) then we can get around to saying "fully built". we are getting close though

LT1's and LS1's are basically evolutions of the small block chevy, which has been around since the 50's. I'd say they have an advantage in developement time.

Don't be a ******* retard.
Oh, wait... nevermind. I guess you can't help it.
SBC

Yep. It's a Chevy 350 fast burn cylinder head.
LT1

Looks kinda like that 350 head.... weird, huh?
LS1

Yeah... this one looks the same, too. Right. Idiot.
How about just shutting the **** up before trying to talk about something you know NOTHING about, eh? The LS1 is in NO WAY the same as a 350/LT1/LT4 engine. It shares NO COMMON PARTS (besides mass produced bearings). It has a COMPLETELY DIFFERENT head design. It has a COMPLETELY DIFFERENT piston/rod design. And ignition. And firing order (i.e. crank design). And oiling system. It's got an aluminum block w/ 6 bolt mains and iron sleeves. It's not even close to the same, or even a progression of the same design. It's a clean slate design. Different. I wish you ignorant ***** would understand that. It would also be good if you wouldn't attempt to spread your stupidity.
