Default Head question?

On a Ls Vtec I know how it works and the basics behind it. What I wanna know is what head to use. I know that the b16 is the norm. (I think it's the usdm si) I am not sure let me know if I am wrong. The si head has a great manifold and all. But is the type R head better. I wonder if the Type R head w/B16 manifold would be a good move. Plus the basic build up for the head. ( by this I mean build up for boost and a little juice) Also I would like to know about oil temp. I hear that you can run oil lines to each cylinder or some thing like that. (And Yes I KNOW ABOUT THE OIL LINE FOR THE VTEC)

I know half of you are gonna cry about not duin the lsvtec but it's what I want to know so any real help will be nice any burns just eat me.
Thanx and yes I did look it up all i get is b16 treads or type R threads no helpfull ones about what I wanna know

The ITR head will flow a bit better and comes with better valves, springs, and cams. Plus the ITR manifold is superior to the B16 manifold. If you're planning on boost, I'd run stronger valvesprings and that's about it.

The ITR head is basically a built head of a B16

Hey man, ive ran my lsvtec for over 2 years so if you got any more questions you can pm me. If you can afford it deffinatly get the type-r head and manifold no doubt. Better cams springs and valves plus flows better.

As far as building it for boost and juice like you said, i would either look into getting the block sleeved or atleast get some forged pistons and rods with arp head studs atleast. The plus about sleeving is you can sleeve it to 84mm bore which will give you 2.0 and it willbe strong enough with the sleeves and forged internals to handle what you want to throw at it. There are also other small things like vtec oil and water pumps which are always good ideas.
