Default head compression test

i did a head compression test on my 93 integra....it came out to be 40 40 60 60.....what could that be?

I'm not sure because I'm not a mechanic and I can't see the car, but I would guess something inside the block, perhaps valves or piston rings.

with numbers like that the engine shouldnt even be running

did you do the test with the engine up to temp, all plugs removed, ecu fuse removed, throttle fully opened?

yea make sure you do it properly because those numbers are horribly low

i changed the head gasket...the old head gasket was in good condition.....the car doesnt run...just cranks and yes i did the compression test properly.....i was thinking it was the head?...i dont know though...does anyone think my valves are bent?

If the procedure was done correctly and those numbers are right.... Dude you need a new engine.

you need to find out what the hell is up.

take off the head and find out, im shure it wont be a pretty sight.

so what in gods name happened to the motor?

sorry, but thats so low. ummmmm probably piston rings are done, valve seals, head gasket...anything.

i took the head off already to change the headgasket...it looked normal....so i was thinking its the head...just wanted som ideas of what it could be...i bought the car like this for a price you cant even pass....so its kinda like a project now....

looks fine?....get a new headgasket, redo the test and post up the results

i just bought the headgasket...brand new out of the package lol...i guess i mite grab a new motor...probably going to try the head first...

Get a another engine with a good compression on each cylinder 230-250 psi. A new head work make a difference because of the compression is still to low. Lose performance.

Do a leakdown test and it will show you where the problem is coming from.

did you add some oil in every cylinder after do the test, that can determine if the rings are bad, then do a leakdown test to determine if its in the valves
