evey time i try to open my hatch on my 98 teg I always have to use the key.I cant just open it like normal. has this happend to anybody else? if so how did you fix it.

 

mines the same way, there's a solenoid in the back that is stripped. It's pretty pricy to fix, so I just got used to using the key. Acuraparts247.com has the motor for $169 or if you just need the actuator it's $58.

 

thanx. Ill pull it apart and see which one i need. This seems like a common problem for hatchbacks.
