hard shifting

hard shifting

at high rpm (5k-8k) its really hard to shift into 2nd gear its like something is blocking it... what is wrong?

Shift harder.

Use GM Synchromesh, its making grinds go away on my vehicles.

it doesnt matter how hard i pull back it still wont go in ... i tried to get the gm synromesh but our dealerships were all out of it

sounds like a worn synchro, changing to some synchromesh (penzoil is the same stuff) may bandaid it, and itll go away, but to truely fix the problem your gonna have to crack the case and replace the synchro.

thanks for the info ill try the penzoil ... what do you think about amsoil? how to replace syncro's?
