halfshaft problem

Default halfshaft problem

my transmission is leaking oil pretty bad where the halfshaft goes in. is there some kind of gasket there that i can change? any info would be helpful.

Its called an axle seal and it is worth going to the dealer to buy the OEM part. Remove the axle, carefully pull the old seal out, use the old seal and a block of wood to install the new seal. Make sure the seal is facing the proper direction.

You also want to make sure you get the part number before going to the dealer because some of the service people there can be total morons.
