Default GSR speed sensor

well me and my dad put a clutch in my girls car which is a 95 GSR, the install went well but the speedo doesnt work now and the sensor is plugged in. When we removed the tranny from the car we unbolted the sensor from the housing so it wouldnt break while we were taking the tranny out. I dont know what the sensor reads off, maybe a rod off the diff. but could we have lost a rod or sumthing or is it a drop in kind of part? its 170 bucks for one from autozone so i dont want to even try the dealer. so im asking does it just bolt right to the housing and reads or is there a conector between the sensor and what it reads from

I'd check the wiring going to the sensor before you waste your money. Check the connector itself it may be bad. The same thing happened to my car, and all it was was the harness, I just got one from the junkyard, rewired it and it worked like a charm. If that doesn't work, I'd recommend getting an oem speed sensor, they're only like 200 and they're better than those autozone brands.

well the thing is the speedo worked fine before the install and after the new clutch it doenst. We took the sensor off so im thinking its the sensor, the wiring harness seems fine and the temp gauge works and its tied into the same harness

well i guess im gonna get a sensor from a junkyard since they cant afford to buy a 200 dollar part right now. Are the sensors the same for GSR,LS,RS ect? i know on autozone website it has the same part number for a 95 GSR and a 95 non-GSR

does anyone know if the sensors are the same on all integras or if they differ between the transmissions?

You can even use the one from a single cam. That's wat I'm doing. Good luck
